2022 was a massive year for Naturally COS founder Rebecca Castano-Mander, marked by Australian firsts, groundbreaking results, and multiple award nominations that culminated in significant victories.

The headline read, “Gold Coast Mum Wins Gold at 2022 Ausmumpreneur Awards.”

Rebecca Castano-Mander from Coomera Waters, who founded Naturally COS, claimed Gold in the Disabled Business Excellence (Australia and Queensland) and Overcoming the Odds categories. She was also a finalist in the Sustainable Product and Sustainable Business categories in Australia, recognised for her exceptional research and development in sustainable practices within organic skincare.

The awards ceremony took place in Sydney, bringing together hundreds of talented and determined mums in business from across the country to celebrate the achievements of the best and brightest in the Australian mumpreneur community.

Rebecca expressed her overwhelming emotion and gratitude upon winning gold in her categories at the 2022 Ausmumpreneur Awards. In her excitement and shock, she accidentally threw her phone at a friend. “I wanted this so much and cried out of pure happiness and relief,” she shared. “So much work, dedication, and effort go into what I do, and then submitting an application to be considered for an award is even more work. I am not good at showcasing my abilities or sharing how I am excelling. This in itself was out of my comfort zone.”

These awards validated Rebecca’s daily commitment and reminded her to never give up. Despite facing numerous challenges, she persevered. “It honestly felt like a big high five, a big well done, in front of my peers and the industry that can be so tough and cruel at times.”

Watching the awards livestream, Rebecca was in awe of the countless mums receiving their awards and sharing their stories of dedication and triumph. “Listening to their unconditional determination and perseverance to succeed while raising a family made me cry. I have never experienced a room full of that acceptance, love, and fulfillment before.”

The Ausmumpreneur Awards, presented by the Australian Women’s Business School, were created to inspire, celebrate, and foster a community for Australian mothers in business to be recognised and awarded. The awards emphasise the growing number of Australian mums achieving exceptional results in business while balancing motherhood, highlighting outstanding achievements, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit.

“Now more than ever, Australian women need role models,” said Peace Mitchell, co-founder of the Ausmumpreneur Awards. “Women who are achieving success while being mums, wives, friends, aunties, and all the things. With the right support and community, women can do these things.”

Rebecca’s achievements have not only created a thriving business but also established a beautiful support network for her customers across Australia, contributing to the local economy and supporting Australian farmers.
