I dont get asked this question enough, and I should ! Here’s why. Sustainably sourced skin and hair care will always out perform the alternatives. When using products with unsustainable ingredients, the benefits if any will lack, the outcome may not be achieved and the quality will most certainly not be there.

When we think about skincare, hair care…any care, i’d like to think we’re all thinking about how nourishing its going to be for our overall health and wellbeing. Gaining optimum results especially from skincare and hair care is going to be found in three ways. The ingredients, formulation and the packaging.

It would probably take a chemistry lesson to go into detail about the formulation part, so let’s explore what sustainable ingredients and packaging are and what benefits they provide.

Sustainably grown ingredients come from soil rejuvenation and restoring ecological balance. Off grid water supply is another example of reducing the pressure on a town supply and allowing nature to deliver. Utilising the sun and not machines to dry or artificially grow  a plant. And letting worms produce their natural magic in the soil and not pesticides.
Packaging is the second element and also vitally important. 3% of us eco lovers use sustainable packaging. Which is biodegradable, 100% recyclable using minimal environmental resources to complete the process (water, electricity etc), vegie ink labelling, bulk offerings, aluminum and glass packaging.

So with every Naturally COS product – 3 elements must always be ticked off.

Are the ingredients sustainable and is the farm itself organic and fair trade?
Is the packaging we intend to use 100% environmentally sustainable, friendly and practical.
Does the formula I use minimise power use, reduce carbon and create an environment for the ingredients to work together?

When you choose Naturally COS, its so much more than choosing a skin, hair, baby or personal care product. Its choosing to nourish your whole self, care for the environment, and support family farming communities.
